Policies and Procedures
Camp Vertical has a series of established guidelines to help our registration and camp processes be as efficient and fair as possible. The following are the current registration, cancellation, medication, and Extended Adventure policies:
Camp fees are $90 per week due upon registration. If this is not possible, you must fill out our payment plan/scholarship form. The agreed upon terms will then dictate how fees are taken care of in those individual situations.
Not Sure About Camp Yet?
We do allow first-time visitors to pay per day on a one-time basis. If a child needs to attend a single day of camp in order to preview the camp experience, they will be placed in an unlimited activity group and the fee will be $25 per day.
Limited Enrollment Activities:
It is our request that you register for a particular limited enrollment activity only twice per summer to allow more campers to enjoy some of the specialty activities. (ie: 2 weeks of Man Camp instead of all 3)
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Cancellation fee is $20 per occasion per camper that refunds are processed. Non-emergency, refunded cancellation needs to be done at the latest by Thursday before the week you are canceling. Notice as soon as you know will help us allow others to fill that spot.
Any cancellations after this time are considered emergency and are likely to receive a significantly reduced refund. This reduction is so that supplies and staffing that have been committed are able to be paid by Camp Vertical. No refunds will be given for parent choice or discipline absences.
Parent choice: day of rest, family trip, sickness, sports events, etc.
Discipline: a day requested by camp director so that behavior problems may be dealt with. The request will come with input and planning with parent.
Sickness: if a child is ill the week they attend camp, a transfer of registration can be made without penalty as long as there is space available to complete the transfer. If it is not possible, a full refund, minus $20 cancellation fee, will be processed. (see parent choice)
Emergency cancellations and refunds will be granted at the earliest possible time, usually the same day requested. However, there is a 2-week processing time before you should expect a refund check. If you have any questions about the status of your refund, please contact the Camp Vertical Registrar.
Parents need to inform the staff and supply all that is needed for their child’s doctor-prescribed medication needs. This includes instructions and an ample supply of medication. These tasks are entirely the responsibility of the parent and must be repeated at the beginning of each week the child attends camp. Any remaining medication is the responsibility of the parent to pick up each Friday. Parent will supply instructions and permissions in written form for the staff to follow. Key leaders at Camp Vertical will work with senior staff to ensure that consistent delivery of medication is a priority.
