Weekly camp options

Adventure (all grades)

Adventure is our most popular camp so we offer it every week! Come prepared to have a different and exciting adventure every day. Of course, the highlight is Wednesday when we enjoy our WET, WILD, Water Day! (Offered weeks 1 – 8)

Basketball (all grades)

Basketball is a great game of fun and exercise. We have great leaders who will help us learn what it takes to be an All-Star on and off the court. You won’t want to miss this great week hitting the hardwood! (Offered weeks 1 and 5)

Beyond the Brush (Grades 4-6)

Our older kids will use their imagination and creativity to design, build, paint, and draw their way through a great week. This is the most advanced creative camp we’ve ever offered. So take a look around you, dream big, and get ready for an explosion of creativity in Beyond the Brush. (Offered weeks 4 and 7)

Bon Appetit (Grades 4-6)

Do you have sudden urges to create culinary masterpieces? Do you have dreams about cream puffs and crème brulee? Does the thought of making and eating your own creations excite you? Then we have a camp for you! Join other cooking lovers and get ready for a week planning, mixing, baking, boiling and tasting. A must attend camp for those who love creativity with food! (Offered weeks 1, 4, and 5)

Construct Camp (Grades 4-6)

Calling all kids who love to design, build, and knock things down…this camp is for you! This is your chance to put your creative energies into action. Each week we will use a variety of materials to design and build our own amazing structures. This camp is highlighted by our own, safe, demolition day on Thursday of each week! (Offered weeks 3, 5 and 6)

Crafts/Cooking (all grades)

This camp is filled with good eats and fun projects. Under the watchful eye of our staff, the campers will create many culinary masterpieces (good foods). Those with good taste will sign up for this adventure. (Offered weeks 1, 2, 5, and 8)

Extreme (all grades)

Extreme is for those kids who like the adventurous side of Camp Vertical. This week often includes relaypaloozza, team building, and a visit by the “Rock Wall” for some rock climbing. (Don’t worry Mom, it’s safe!) Bring your A-game and be prepared for an extreme adventure. (Offered weeks 1 and 8))

Get a Clue (NEW!) (Grades 4-6 )

Sherlock Holmes, Inspector Clouseau, and now you! Become one of the world’s greatest detectives while finding clues and solving exciting mysteries created just for Camp Vertical campers. This week, kids will learn to look for evidence, observe small details, put the pieces together, and solve the mystery. Come and learn what it takes to be a real detective. You don’t want to miss out on this mysterious week of fun! (Offered week 5)

Girls Inc. (Grades 4-6)

This camp is all about girls being girls! Days will be full of fun girlie things like painting nails, spa treatments, creating t-shirts, chocolate, pajama day, interactive games, and lots of other things that girls love. One of the highlights each day is when we take a break to talk about the inner qualities that make a woman truly beautiful. (Offered weeks 3, 5 and 8)

Girls VBall/BBall (all grades)

We know that girls like to play more than one sport, so here is your chance. We are combining these two high-energy sports into one fast-paced camp. Sign up for a slam-dunking, high-spiking week!! (Offered weeks 2, 6 and 8)

Go for the Gold! (all grades)

The Summer Olympics hit Camp Vertical! Compete against fellow Vertical contestants in various Olympic-style games like Pillow Polo and King of the Kick. Create your own team name and flag and compete to win the treasured Golden Flip Flop. Sign up for this activity and bring home the gold for your team! Also, watch out for water wars each week! (Offered weeks 1, 2, 5, and 8)

Home Run (all grades)

The dog days of summer are just perfect for getting out on the diamond and playing some baseball. Home Run camp will spend some time practicing the basics, but as with all of our sports camps, emphasis will be on playing the game and having fun. Don’t forget about the one-of-a-kind Vertical Home Run Derby happening later in the week! (Offered weeks 1, 4 and 7)

Lights, Camera, Action (all grades)

This camp will allow more “dramatic” campers to practice their acting skills in fun and exciting ways and give them the opportunity to write their own scripts and perform them in different settings throughout the week. (Offered weeks 3 and 7)

Loud and Proud (all grades)

Join the Loud and Proud camp for a week of high flying, loud cheering action. Girls will get a crash course in cheer and pom moves and prepare a rockin’ program for the whole camp and parents on Friday! Stretch those muscles and get ready for a high-energy week that will be cheer-tastic for all! (Offered weeks 2 , 4 and 8)

Man Camp (Grades 4-6)

This camp is filled with all kinds of activities that boys will love including adventures in male cooking, video game tournament, Lumberjack Day, and tons more. The most important part of the day is when the whole group gathers to discover what it takes to not only be a real man, but a gentleman. (Offered weeks 3, 5, and 8)

Northwoods Expedition (Grades 4-6)

Journey with us as we learn how to survive in the wilderness. Kids will learn how to build a campfire, pitch a tent, build a fort and much, much more. Kids in this camp will have the unique opportunity to learn the basics of archery from a skilled archery instructor from On Target Outfitters www.ontargetoutfitters.org. It will almost be like being in the Northwoods of WI. You won’t want to miss it. (Offered week 4)

Paints and More (all grades)

Budding Artists come in all shapes and sizes. Paints and More is built so that each child, whether a beginner or the next Picasso, will have fun using watercolors, clay, chalk, wood and more. Get your creative juices flowing, and join us for this “masterpiece” of a week. (Offered weeks 1, 3, and 6)

Pedal to the Metal (all grades)

Everyone, start your engines and get ready for a fun packed week of auto craziness. Kids in this car focused camp will build and race pinewood derby cars, have racing competitions on the Wii, learn to change a tire and so much more. Sign up early because you won’t want to miss it as Camp Vertical puts the Pedal to the Metal. (Offered weeks 2 and 7)

Puppets (all grades)

Children who like to perform will enjoy learning the basics of being a puppeteer and presenting songs and skits. You will also be part of our special program at the end of the week. (Offered week 7)

Rip-n-It (Required safety equipment: helmet, knee pads) (all grades)

Skateboarding is a sport that is both enjoyable and creative. Skaters in this camp will learn the four basic skills every rider needs to know and also some cool tricks to show their friends. We will be safe and secure on the Camp Vertical skate park, and our instructors know what they are doing. Space is limited, so sign up soon… you won’t want to miss this week. (Offered weeks 2 and 7)

Rockets and Roller Coasters (all grades)

This week is filled with the high-flying adventure of model rocketry and loop-de-loop roller coasters. Each child will build and launch a rocket and create a marble roller coaster with enough drops and turns to make you dizzy. This will be a great week for everyone. (Offered weeks 1, 4, and 8)

Soccer (all grades)

This is a special week of kicking and running for all soccer fans. We will play as much soccer as we can and still have time for some basic drills. As with all of our sport camps, the emphasis is on playing the game. (Offered weeks 3, 4 and 7)

Steps (Grades 4-6)

Join Steps for a week of high flying, dance-tastic fun. Girls will learn the basics of dance and have fun putting them together for the whole camp on Friday! Stretch those muscles and get ready for a high-energy week that will be fun for all. (Offered weeks 3 and 7)

Table Games (all grades)

Have you ever played life-size Monopoly? Do you like foosball, chess, Sorry, giant checkers or other brain-stretching games? Well, this week is for you! Sign-up and prepare for your imagination to be engaged and to have a ton of fun. (Offered weeks 2 , 4, and 6)

Triple Threat (Required safety equipment: helmet, knee pads) (all grades)

In this camp, we are combining the best of the 3-on-3 sports into one exciting week! Activities may include 3-on-3 basketball, 3-on-3 roller hockey, 3-on-3 soccer, 3-on-3 flag football, and more. Campers, prepare for a week of high-energy action! (Offered weeks 2 and 5)

Turn the Page (NEW!) (all grades)

Do you love to read? Then Turn the Page is your kind of camp. Get ready for a week full of fun and adventure as kids dive into the wonderful world of books. Besides the obvious activity of reading, campers will learn the fine art of creating a book nook, will be able to write and illustrate their own story, and then there is the ever popular Random Reading Spot time. So find a comfy seat, grab a good story and get ready for the adventures that can only be found in books. (Offered weeks 3 and 8)
