Beyond The Books (Home Education Enrichment)
Beyond The Books is a program for home-educated children to develop friendships and participate in enrichment classes such as art, gym, writing, drama and speech in classroom environments. The emphasis of all the classes is to supplement learning by offering activities that are more difficult to teach at home and opportunities for students to work in teams.
Beyond the Books seeks to support parents in their homeschooling efforts by providing opportunities for elementary age students to expand their knowledge base while working alongside their peers. There are opportunities for middle school students to gain the leadership skills needed to help and serve others.
BEYOND THE BOOKS – 2012-2013
- Program offered Wednesdays or Thursdays, 9 am-12 pm
- Runs September 19 or 20, 2012, through May 15 or 16, 2013
- Thanksgiving Break- November 21 or 22, 2012
- Christmas Break Begins- December 18 or 19, 2012
- Classes Resume- January 9 or 10, 2013
- Easter Break- April 3 or 4, 2013
