Our Serving Ministry exists to help people engage in the life of the church by connecting people to volunteer serving opportunities. It is our desire to have all who attend worship at Elmbrook find a place to serve God and each other, and to discover and develop how God has shaped each of us for service in the church.
{why serve at all?}
We often hear people say that one of the best ways Elmbrook became a place of belonging for them was when they volunteered to serve.
In 1 Peter 4:10-11 scripture tells us that "each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms... If anyone serves he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ..."
{does a big church like Elmbrook need me?}
Absolutely! Our ministry programs are developed with great dependence on servant volunteers. Over 3,500 volunteers serve in hundreds of ways throughout our ministries. As ministry seasons begin each year, and new initiative are launched, the opportunities continue to multiply. There's a place for you!
It is true that we need you, but you also need the opportunity to serve. We believe serving is a spiritual discipline to be developed by every beliver. Our staff and ministry leaders desire to assist and equip you in the discovery of that "right place" of service.
