About the Event
BrookfieldStudents
There tends to be a moment in high school, usually during the second semester of their sophomore year, where students make some big decisions. Most students don’t even realize the importance of the decisions they are making because they start as a lot of small choices. Ultimately, they decide who they want to be, what they want to prioritize, and whether faith will have a formative role in their life in the coming years. As a church, we want to do all we can to encourage and support students to prioritize their faith and own it for themselves. That is what the Turning Point milestone is all about.
Turning Point is a year-long mentorship experience for high school sophomores and juniors to help them process questions about their faith and learn how to live their faith out. Students and their mentors work together to schedule a time to meet once a month that works for both of them, then attend a retreat experience in May!
Elmbrook Church wants to help students have faith for a lifetime. One of the ways that we encourage this and support families to be part of significant faith moments is through faith milestones, including Turning Point.
