There is a new movement today exploring a different footprint for Christian ministry, leadership, and witness in society. “Spiritual influence” seeks to produce enduring transformative change in the church, in business, in education, in government, or any other venue. Spiritual influence begins with the assumption that followers of Christ have something extra to offer that goes beyond normal leadership frameworks. This course will analyze movements of influence in society and culture today, as well as, build a biblical and theological paradigm for spiritual influence using theological and sociological literature. Students will personally examine their strengths and weaknesses in spiritual influence, engage in small group investigating and applying issues of personal influence, as well as, develop a personal plan for deepening their own influence.
